Carbon ceramic discs from DAOPAN. Porsche-style ceramic composite brakes, the top of the range for a road car, without the supercar price.

Ceramic composite brakes came out of aerospace and Formula 1 and are the highest grade of braking material you can put on a road car. Against a conventional cast iron disc they win comfortably on heat resistance, weight, lifespan and consistency, which is why Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini fit them as standard.

- Handles over 1,000°C, so braking force does not fall away after repeated hard stops
- About 50% lighter than cast iron, a big cut in unsprung weight
- Suspension responds faster and the car turns in more keenly
- Two to three times the life of a cast iron disc
